KazakhstanForYou at the Ethical Fashion Forum

On 19 May 2009 the Ethical Fashion Forum held a seminar and product presentation in London focused on ‘Sourcing from Asia’. 

The Ethical Fashion Forum brings together designers, retailers and producers to help promote environmental and social sustainability 

in fashion. It recognises that ‘if you are in business in fashion, sourcing from Asia is almost inevitable’, but workers in many countries 

‘suffer from poverty wages, unfair working conditions and limited rights’. The Forum asked the question ‘as a fashion designer, 

business or professional, what can you do to maximise benefits for people and minimise environmental impact in Asia?’

KazakhstanforYou was pleased to attend the seminar and provide a presentation afterwards of fashions and materials from Kazakhstan 

produced in an ethical way. We were pleased to be the first organisation from Central Asia to present at an Ethical Fashion Forum event. 

We particularly wish to thank designers and retailers who expressed an interest in sourcing products and materials through us from 

Kazakhstan.
